MESSAGE FROM THE QUARTER DECK:
Welcome Aboard Shipmates to our 47th USS Valley Forge Club (HVRC) Reunion in the beautiful Ozarks; Branson, Missouri. We are looking forward to seeing you again and we especially want to welcome first-time members. Gatherings Plus will assist our Skipper Jerry Miller and Maribeth. Gatherings Plus have some wonderful tours lined up for us that will assure us of a Reunion to Remember! Gatherings Plus will take care of registration, tours, banquet, etc. and will have a representative on site to take care of our needs. We will have a hospitality room that will serve as our recovery room, for hugs, fun, great truthful sea stories and a power-point presentation of the US Navy. Come and enjoy this beautiful state. Our hotel is the Clarion in Branson, Missouri located 54.9 miles from the Springfield Airport. The hotel has transportation but if you plan to use it; make pre-arrangements.
TO/FROM SPRINGFIELD-BRANSON AIRPORT:
Taxi or shuttle will be about $70 each way. Rent a car will be available but you will get a better rate if you rent a car in advance online. You may be able to group together and save money. You may also call Greylines/Gathering Plus which will shuttle but negotiate your own price. HOTEL RESERVATIONS: The Clarion Hotel is located at 2820 W. Highway 76, Branson, MO. To register call direct and mention the Happy Valley Club Reunion. Rooms are blocked until October 7th so book early. Cancelations can be made 48 hours in advance without charge.

Invitations/information mailings for the 47th HVRC Reunion will be sent out in April. Checks for the tours and banquet will be made out directly to (Gathering Plus).
will be our Reunion Banquet with and cash bar. There will be a raffle table for prizes. It is customary to bring a $10 gift or cash in an envelope for the banquet on Saturday night. Tickets for the raffle will be sold on an ongoing basis throughout the reunion. If you haven't been to a reunion of the Valley or haven't been for a long time, this is the year to come, see your shipmates and be part of the 47th Happy Valley Reunion.

TOUR OF COLLEGE OF THE OZARKS - FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 9,2018 AT 9:00 “C of O is unique among higher education institutions in America: no tuition is charged, all students work on campus, debt is openly discouraged, and no federal, state or private loans are made.” 1.Our tour guides are our hard-working College of the Ozarks students. 2.You will see our beautiful campus, various student service facilities, Williams Memorial Chapel, and a residence hall room.
MISSOURI VIETNAM MEMORIAL - The College of the Ozarks built this memorial honoring the KIA of the Vietnam war. It lists the names of 1400 plus military KIA’s from the state of Missouri. It was dedicated in the spring of 2015
KEETER CENTER - This is the college’s ran and operated restaurant/hotel/theater. Our lunch is helping a student gain an education.
TOP OF THE ROCK - Begin your journey with a two-and-a-half-mile ride in an electric cart along the Lost Canyon Cave and Nature Trail. Johnny Morris spent hundreds of hours walking the land painstakingly making a trail that would bring visitors in close contact with dramatic features in nature such as stunning rock formations, beautiful views of Table Rock Lake and the Lost Canyon Cave.
